This young horse was part of a larger herd that was grazing in the early morning sunlight near the Burning Coal Vein area in southwestern North Dakota. It is a real pleasure to watch these magnificent animals roam over the rugged scoria-topped hills among the ponderosa pines and Rocky Mountain junipers northwest of Amidon. |
