I added more color and more details to my sunflower drawing this morning, and like the way it is coming along. It has some complex shapes around the center of the main blossom, which are kind of a challenge.

Well, I switched over from a frosty cottonwood theme to a hot, spicy sunflower composition this evening. Good to have some variety going this time of year. I’ve pretty much worked over the right side of this drawing, so now a few more petals on the left, and the center of the flower will require some further attention.

More colors and details were added to my drawing of sunflowers this afternoon. It’s getting closer and closer to completion, but I want it to be as vivid as possible before I call it good.

I worked on my “Sunflower Composition” drawing again this morning. It was nice to have a change from clouds, fields, Badlands, cottonwoods, and rivers. The file for this flower image was even titled “Cottonwood Compostion” by mistake. A series of sunflower compositions beckons me when I finish my current project.

I moved on up the right side of my sunflower drawing last night, adding more color to the colorful petals.

I continued working my way up the right side of my sunflower drawing tonight, making things a little more sunny and bright.

The lower right corner of my sunflower drawing was developed a little further tonight. It’s nice to work on a landscape, then switch over to this image, which is so different.

Well, my sunflower drawing got a little richer and riper this morning. I added more color and detail to the lower right corner.

Wow, we are having a cold snap here, with temperatures below zero and sundogs in the sky. A good day to get back to work on my sunflower drawing, I thought, and forget about wind chills and snowblowers for a while. At least the snow and frigid weather are being shared around the country. Misery loves company, I guess. Warmer days are forecast for the near future, so hang in there, everybody!
