I refined the clouds a bit more in my drawing “Early May” this morning.

Early May
I refined the clouds a bit more in my drawing “Early May” this morning.

Early May
Well, I believe I’ve reached the end of the trail with my drawing of clouds towering over tracks through the prairie. It was a lot more complex than most of my drawings, but I wanted to see if I could do it. I’m pleased with the composition, and like the way the trail beckons you onward and upward.

Prairie Trail
I worked on the lower left bank and the river in my drawing of the Little Mo this afternoon. Things are moving right along, and every day brings more progress. The sun was out today, and the wind wasn’t howling. It gave me a chance to clear snow away from windows and doors. Life is good.

The Little Mo
I resumed work on the foreground of my “Badlands in July” drawing tonight, and I do believe it is finally finished. Hurray!

Badlands in July
I worked on the foreground grass and trees of my “Badlands in July” drawing this morning. It is extremely close to being done now, but I’ll go back to it with fresh eyes one more time before I add the glass and frame. There are a couple of areas of light orange on the ridges that I’ll probably intensify just a little bit.

Badlands in July
Today I made a few little changes to the clouds in my drawing of a prairie trail. They are not all that visible, but they are things that I want to do before I call it good and put a frame on it. Maybe just one session left on it now.

Prairie Trail
I made some progress on my “Prairie Trail” drawing today. It’s a bit more complex than my earlier drawings, and a little more challenging. Hope I can pull it all together, as I really like the composition.

Prairie Trail
More progress was made with my drawing of May clouds on this wintry January evening. This country certainly has distinct seasons, wouldn’t you say? Maybe just a little bit too different, I think.

Early May
My drawing of clouds over a prairie hill is all framed up now, and ready to go out in the world. I will enjoy it at home for a while, then see where it might roam. This image really gives you the feeling of the prairie on a windy spring day. It would probably be a good place to look for crocus blossoms.

Framed “Prairie Hill” Drawing
I took a few more looks at my drawing of a prairie hill in early springtime, then made some minor adjustments. It does seem to me that it has reached a satisfactory conclusion, and I think I’ll call it good!
