Green in the Garden

Written by Cris Fulton on March 7th, 2010

I walked around the house yesterday, checking on snow levels near the foundation in case it starts melting soon. Guess what I happened to spy in the front garden, coming up through the lava chips and patches of ice??? Some live, green, growing things, that’s what!!! At this stage of their growth, I’m not sure if they’re larkspur or weeds, but it doesn’t matter. You know what I mean? Here’s to the onset of spring, and the sooner, the better!

    Cris,
I know what you mean about the green patch in the yard.
It was 53 today and i am ready for spring.

    Hi Charles,

Wow! 53 degrees… We have had day after day of fog and frost here. While it has been beautiful, we are all ready for warmer, sunnier days around Bowman, too. It’s become quite the topic of conversation in southwestern North Dakota.
