A Beautiful Day in March

The sun is shining down on Dakota today, with a temperature of 77 degrees! I managed to get some drawing done, and to put some sunflower photos in mats, but I just had to get outside to enjoy this remarkable weather. After I brought out the patio chairs and tables, I started to clean up [...]

Hot, Hot Summertime

Well, we have left the cold wind chills of January far behind, and are now putting up with some very high heat and humidity. We’re all waiting and hoping for more moderate weather soon. The Little Badlands in June

Goodbye, April!

Wow, April is making a dramatic exit today, with howling wind and wet, driven snow. The temperature is only 31 degrees, and I have managed to catch a cold. I hope May will be gentler, kinder, and warmer! View of the Front Yard

Winter Views

It was a very beautiful, but cold, winter morning today. Here are a couple of views from the window for you. This is the most snow I’ve ever seen in the backyard, and frankly, I hope it’s the most I’ll ever see out there.

Wintry

Well, it’s a good, old-fashioned winter day here in North Dakota. There is a blizzard warning in effect until 5 a.m. tomorrow. The wind is really whipping around the house, snow is plastered to the windows, and no travel is advised. I’ve been cleaning and organizing things that kind of slid over the holidays. Soon [...]
